@skydotbit Eh. When I set this up it was just to test .NET. I wasn't intending on it being a permanent domain.

I think I'll stick with it though. No reason to change it, really.

@skydotbit Should I change my domain? lmao

Subnautica (the original) really is an amazing game.

I keep coming back to it and replaying it.

I really wish there was more to do in the game after the story ends.

@skydotbit @amberdambey Eh yes, but I like the challenge.

Then again, I'm the type of person that would open up the database to see where the problem is.

@skydotbit @amberdambey I'm not aware of the hardware requirements with sharkey but there are solutions out there.

Unfortunately they are not free (other then cloudflare).

@amberdambey I've actually done the orange pi 5 plus with a iceshrimp instance and it worked okay for the most part. There were times where it overloaded and became inaccessible but they weren't very frequent.

5) You can follow relays. It may not be -as many- posts but you still get a decent amount.

4) Fair, this is moderation.

3) Fair

2) Fair, but not that hard.

1) Yeah, I would probably just get a rasberry pi or orange pi 5 plus and run a wireguard tunnel to a cheap VPS.

@amberdambey This isn't a troll post. I'm genuinely curious.

Do you just not want to moderate it?

@OrionKidder Does KDE's dragon player not start the file from where you left off?

Genuinely don't know, but it's the only suggestion I have on video players other then VLC.

I really thought iceshrimp would use more bandwidth then it does, weird.

@theresnotime @skydotbit This is fake right?

If not this is going to be one interesting experience...

@amberdambey I really am curious why don't you just host your own iceshrimp instance?

The hardware requirements are not big, assuming you don't have 20,000 followers.

I have tons of hardware but no idea what to do with it. Suggestions?

Currently thinking about starting a peertube instance.

The problem with peertube is even if you do get people uploading content, it's generally crap quality content.

@TheZeldaZone They don't expect you to pay them.

It's an advertising campaign by nvidia/oracle/etc. They are paying people to shill for them.

@amberdambey In your opinion, do you prefer the mastodon software?
