I really hope it's just a knee jerk reaction and the development doesn't stop.

You're correct that pancakes and kopper are both great devs, so I'm likely overthinking things.

@memoria Then again, I'm sure it will be added (eventually).

It -does- do notifications on the site itself, but that still requires you to login to the site to see your notifications.

Admin/Mods really do need some way of getting notified when they are off the site. Emails, push alerts - something.

Overall I do like the software.

@memoria Iceshrimp.NET is lacking in admin+moderation features.

For example, there is a report system now. But there is no way for me to get notifications of reports. So if someone on my instance is say, spreading CSAM, I'm not going to be able to know about it until I'm physically on the computer and browsing the site.

Mastodon does email alerts for things like reports.

If this were just a personal instance, yeah, I'd be fine with the current development. But I want to run a public instance (with approved registrations, not open)

@memoria Zotan still does bug fixes and stuff, but afaik Zotan hasn't developed any major new features since he went on a vacation six months ago. His handle on the chat still says "extended vacation" as well.

I'm using vacation loosely. There is a lot of drama going on in his life right now, or it could be lillians life, but I'm not going to get into it here because it's not really something one shares publicly. You can ask Zotan directly if you're curious.

@memoria Basically I've been following along in the development of the software for like two years now. Development has definitely slowed, but it still has some momentum. I'm not writing it off yet.
